Graduate engineering opportunities

Initial 1st year
Bristol based followed by a range of UK wide and international opportunities

What will be on the UK’s roads in 20, or even 50 years’ time? Join the VOSA/VCA graduate programme and you’ll develop your professional skills and work with leading vehicle manufacturers to decide.

VOSA and VCA aim to keep the UK’s roads safe and to ensure vehicles don’t adversely affect the environment by approving new vehicles for sale in the EU and testing them once they’re on the roads.

We’re both executive agencies to the Department for Transport and on the graduate programme you’ll experience a variety of roles in a series of placements over two years. These roles can include you spending time at a vehicle manufacturer, working abroad with the VCA, working with a vehicle testing laboratory, and working with an HGV, coach or bus operator. You’ll then take on a permanent role at either organisation managing and influencing a range of projects and enabling you to achieve Chartered Engineer status with the ImechE.

You’ll need to be a graduate in any engineering discipline or a similar subject, with the ability to get on with people at all levels and explain complex issues clearly. Bring us this and you could soon be influencing UK road policy and deciding the future of motoring for years to come.
