Job summary

Scotia Security Group seeks an Electronics engineer based near Edinburgh to join our design team and work on exciting new wireless/embedded systems projects. This 12 month placement offers training in the latest technologies and systems and full involvement in delivering solutions to leading blue chip customers worldwide.

Job Description

Scotia Security Group designs, manufactures and installs security products for the Banking and ATM industries. Our 40 years’ experience in the security industry is backed by an innovative design team using the latest technologies to successfully resolve a wide range of attack threats on a proactive basis.

We currently seek an engineer to join our design team and work on exciting new embedded system projects. You'll be utilising the very latest MPUs to interface with a wide range of peripherals:

·         Simple push switches and keypads

·         Intelligent sensors

·         Bespoke locking devices

·         Touch screen graphic HMIs and wired and wireless networks; with lots of high-level encryption thrown in to make it nice and challenging.

Skills / Experience

Essential

·         Some experience and/or knowledge of Hardware design/Embedded systems design/Software design

·         Strong team working skills

·         Ability to work individually under own initiative

·         Good communication skills - written and verbal

·         Good analytical skills

·         Ability and willingness to proactively contribute innovative ideas.

Qualifications

·         Degree level qualification in Electronic/Software Engineering or relevant discipline.
