R Stahl Limited is a daughter company of a German engineering organisation who manufacture Switchgear and Materials Handling equipment. The Stahl Group have subsidiaries worldwide.
Explosion protection is safety technology at its highest level and, as a consequence of many years experience, Stahl have established a division which specialises in the manufacture of explosion protected equipment.
In being a worldwide leader in this specialist field in explosion protection, the range of apparatus and systems are for measurement, control to generate distribution in hazardous areas. Areas of application are drilling rigs, refineries for gas or crude oil, chemical plants for the manufacture of plastics and drugs and bio-gas plants and hazardous environments in the distillery industry.
The Engineer would be based in our Switchgear division located in Birmingham. They would be involved in designing customised control and distribution panels for use in hazardous areas incorporating:
ò Standard industrial Switchgear installed in flame proof enclosures (Exd)
ò Flame proof enclosed (Exd) individual components installed in enclosures in ignition protection \\"increased safetyö (Exe)
ò Standard industrial equipment installed in pressurised (Exp) enclosures and panels
The desired candidate should possess the following:
ò Educated to degree level in Electronics & Electrical Engineering
ò Computer literate, operating the latest Autocad & Windows systems
ò The ability to work as a team player
ò Good communication skills
ò Flexibility with regards to the position offered.
ò Bi-lingual (German & English) in order to undertaking the necessary training at our parent company located in Waldenburg, Germany.
Terms of Employment:
ò Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director
ò Salary for this position would be in the region of ú30,000.
ò Hours: Monday û Thursday 8.30a.m. û 5.15p.m. & Friday 8.30a.m. û 1.00p.m.
ò A contributory pension would be offered following a successful six-month probationary period
ò 25 days holiday plus statutory days
