Graduate Development Programmes: Sales and Marketing

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

Calor currently have two Graduate Development Programmes:

  1. Marketing
  2. Sales

Through a series of rotational placements our two-year programme offers the opportunity to gain a broad foundation of knowledge in your chosen field as well as training in business and behavioral skills. You will receive encouragement and support from an experienced mentor and our performance management processes ensure that you achieve your full potential.  We encourage study towards achieving your professional qualifications and from day one you will get plenty of hands-on experience.  You can also look forward to a full induction programme and real responsibility early on.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with our experienced professionals you will gain experience within Bulk and Cylinder Sales, Marketing and National Accounts. 

Bulk and Cylinder Sales

  • To assist in identifying and achieving sales opportunities through direct selling activity
  • To assist in maintaining existing customer base through account development 
  • Provide pro-active support to existing contractor network
  • To assist with the business management of your territory

Marketing

  • To assist with the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns
  • Interact with external agencies to develop campaign concepts
  • Communicating campaigns through the Sales Force,
  • Call Centre and Operations Monitoring success of campaigns against set targets and budgets
  • To assist with the day to day administration including purchase orders

National Accounts

  • Provide support to maximise company sales
  • Help achieve individual sales targets and maximise customer service
  • To assist in identifying and planning calls on potential customers
  • Help ensure compliance with safety regulations and code of practice
  • Recommend sales promotions and assist at shows/exhibitions

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Marketing Programme: 2:2 degree or above gained in a business related discipline with a strong marketing element
  • Sales Programme: Minimum 2:2 degree or above gained in a business or related discipline

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must hold a valid UK driving license
  • Must be flexible in terms of travel/location, initially then based at Warwick Head office
  • Marketing programme: work experience in marketing discipline
  • Sales programme: work experience in customer services or a sales area
  • Motivation for a future career with Calor
  • Initiative, good numerical skills and flexibility
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to demonstrate drive, enthusiasm and commitment

Availability to attend an assessment centre on the 8th and 9th July

Available to commence our programme in September 2010
