Job summary

Voluntary Action Orkney is currently recruiting for a recent graduate for a 12 month HR project role.  The successful graduate will be responsible for developing a HR support/information service initially for the third sector but then to explore the potential for this service to be offered at an appropriate level of fee to small, local, businesses.

Job Description

This would be an innovative step for the organisation as for the first time we would be diversifying into the private sector market.   However, more work needs to be done to identify the target markets, the type of HR services that should be offered and to ensure that the service provides quality information and advice to customers.

This project fits with another of the organisation’s strategic objectives:  that the organisation must identify and secure additional income streams in order to ensure continuity and sustainability whilst being receptive to the needs of our third sector market.

The post is based in Kirkwall, Orkney.

This position is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund.
