Hydratron designs and manufactures a range of specialist equipment used in ‘high-pressure’ environments. They have three locations worldwide – Cheshire, Texas and California (www.hydratron.co.uk)

Hydratron designs, manufactures and sells a range of air operated high pressure hydraulic pumps, gas boosters, power packs, hydraulic control panels and test rigs. Hydratron also has an extensive network of distributors in key locations around the world. Formed in 1981, Hydratron has established itself as a leading supplier of quality high pressure equipment to the oil and gas industries.

Some Hydratron products are ‘off the shelf’ solutions; others are engineered and bespoke.

This is an exciting time for Hydratron and they are now looking to further expand by recruiting a Graduate Design engineer in to their business.

What are we looking for?

Hydratron are looking for a hands-on mechanical engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting and varied role where you will work closely with both clients and the internal engineering team to come up with feasible and commercially viable designs using 3D software.

You will be required to work closely with fellow team members to provide detailed and bespoke designs for each of Hydratron’s clients. An inquisitive and flexible mind-set will be needed to tweak and amend designs throughout the project.

You will work closely with a highly experienced and friendly team to see your design projects through from start to finish. You will also benefit from a structured training programme.

To be considered you must possess the following attributes:

• A minimum of 2:2 at degree level in Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 3 Cs at A Level (or equivalent)
• Excellent IT skills with experience in producing 3D CAD drawings using SolidWords
• A keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills
• Can do attitude
• Passion for engineering
