Job summary

Community Energy Scotland (CES), a national charity dedicated to supporting communities to develop renewable energy projects, are recruiting for a graduate to deliver a 6 month data and information project.  The role will involve developing and improving the data collection and reporting system to ensure that CES gains maximum value from the data that is collected on community projects and wider activities of the CES team.

Job Description

Community Energy Scotland (CES), a national charity dedicated to supporting communities to develop renewable energy projects, are recruiting for a graduate to deliver a 6 month data and information project.  The role will involve developing and improving the data collection and reporting system to ensure that CES gains maximum value from the data that is collected on community projects and wider activities of the CES team.

Tasks will involve:

•        Research and produce a reporting plan

•        Build and amend CES’ current system to meet their reporting plan

•        Implement reporting system and train staff

•        Monitor, evaluate and adapt system

•        Implement system for external reporting on CES website

•        Handover and ensure legacy of project

This position is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund.

Skills / Experience

Essential:

•        Accuracy and attention to detail

•        Good communication skills, written and oral

•        Organisational and time-management skills

•        Working with team members

•        Enthusiastic approach to work

•        Demonstrable administrative experience 

•        Experience on using IT programmes Excel, Word, databases

•        Knowledge of business processes

•        Presentation and collection of data

•        Report writing

•        Ability to work with a range of contacts and demands

•        Sense of humour

•        Can do attitude

Desirable:

•        Survey analysis skills

•        Experience in business administration

•        Data management

•        Experience of web editing

Qualifications

•        Degree in relevant discipline
