Graduate Customer Service & Supply Chain Trainee

An excellent opportunity to work in a FMCG environment for a well established company currently experiencing significant growth.

Kingsland Wines & Spirits is a well established and rapidly expanding company, sourcing wines globally and bottling then supplying both wines and spirits to the UK retail trade.  With five bottling lines and bag-in-box capability there has been significant recent investment in all areas of the business including people, plant and site development. 

The primary objective of this role will be to successfully provide an excellent service to all our customers. 

The role will be split into three main areas and entail the following:

Sales Order Processing
• Receiving and processing customer orders in accordance with operating procedures
• First port of call for any customer issue queries
• Resolution of any stock queries

Demand Management
• Preparation of weekly sales/stock plans and producing weekly KPI  reports
• Updating and monitoring any forecast deviations
• Proposing forecast amendments based on sales history
• Maintaining, monitoring and updating stock figures
• Investigating all potential out of stock situations to see if they can be avoided

Purchase Order Placement
• Analysing forecast for cased goods and proposing orders based on this to maintain excellent availability
• Expediting order with the suppliers and shippers
• Collating customs paperwork
• Booking in cased goods deliveries with warehouse
• Liaising with demand management to review forecasts
• Liaising with account handlers re stock levels and possible out of stocks
• General admin – good excel skills required (pivot tables, V look up etc.)
• Attending internal meetings

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, ideally in an analytical subject or will be able to demonstrate analytical ability through strong A' Level results.  Experience of working in an FMCG environment along with the ability to plan and prioritise their own workload. The right candidate will be strong both working in a team or under their own initiative, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to constantly changing priorities. Strong IT skills are essential, particularly with both Word and Excel.

The successful applicant will be committed, flexible and diligent in this role; you will be a self-starter with strong administration skills who pays attention to detail.
