Job Description

With the opportunity to work on projects typically ranging in value from £0.5million to £30million, this graduate role will be extremely varied and will offer the chance to build experience whilst developing your professional portfolio.

Some of the core responsibilities within the role are as follows:

  • Liaising with other project professionals and technical suppliers
  • Use of and training in AutoCAD, Microdrainage and infrastructure design software (PDS and/or AutoCAD CIVIL 3D)
  • With guidance from the Senior/Project Engineer, undertaking design of infrastructure, roads, drainage etc., including S38 and S278 highway schemes and S104 drainage schemes.
  • Preparing technical drawings and details, with guidance from the Senior/Project Engineer
  • Liaising with Highway and Water Authorities to obtain approval of technical submissions
  • Assistance in preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy documents
  • Maintaining records and archives within Rolton’s project management systems

In keeping with the level of this role, the candidate will have an academic knowledge of infrastructure, drainage and general Civil Engineering design together with the ability to communicate effectively and possess good report writing skills.

Academically, we are looking for a proven academic record. The successful candidate will have an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering.

Rolton Group invests heavily in the latest technology. Therefore, chosen candidates will be computer literate and have an interest in the implementation of Revit applications of 3D design tools.
