As a Business Development Manager your job will be to drive volumes of your customers through a combination of gaining new stockists as well as helping existing ones increase their sales. Focus will be getting out on the road generating new sales although special attention will also be given to strengthening our relationship with our wholesalers and leveraging them to push sales of our drinks. You will be responsible for agreeing effective annual activity plans with chains under your responsibility and ensuring that this plan is executed efficiently. Specific responsibilities for this role include: ò Driving volume growth of selected wholesalers and reporting back on performance and reasons for variance ò Building strong relationships with the sales teams of all wholesalers under your responsibility û dealing with day-to-day sales issues and executing sales initiatives to reach volume targets ò Securing a strong relationship with all our Key accounts, giving them a clear timetable of activities and ensuring that they are achieving optimum volumes ò Identifying and winning new business ò Providing the wholesale team with an insight into outlet needs, market trends and competitor activities ò Implementing wholesale tools and processes and feeding back any necessary needs or improvements ò Effectively merchandising outlets to secure shelf space and to maintain and grow sales Skills and experience that would be really useful: ò Strong negotiation skills ò Personable with a natural sales ability ò Sales, especially field sales experience would be a distinct advantage ò Self-motivated and target driven ò Exceptional use of initiative and an ability to pick things up quickly ò Full UK driving licence To apply for this role you may be a recent or more experienced Graduate who is committed to developing a career in sales. Sales experience is beneficial is helpful but not essential, we are more interested in consistent achievement in Academics ( 2.ii and above and 300 UCAS points) A demonstrable achievement in outside academic activities û Sport, music, Dance, Volunteering, Traveling etc. will also help you to stand out!
