Job summary

Prontoport is a fast growing and successful service contractor for the renewables and general power industry. We are looking for a graduate for a 12 month period, the initial responsibilities will be of a plural administrative nature, supporting the business development co-ordinator with tendering opportunities, bid pipeline and business growth.

Project Description

The core aims of the project are:

  • Additional income generated via tenders
  • Acceptance on specific contractor listings/frameworks
  • Increase in full-time employee numbers
  • Develop bid library
  • Maintain approved supplier systems content
  • Source and assess new contract opportunities
  • Co-ordinate team authorship of tender returns
  • Develop an Intranet based bid management tool
  • Manage Prontoport profiles on supplier portals, registration and output
  • Additional tasks will be assigned by Management team

Role Description

The successful candidate will be working to achieve the above objectives and will have a good deal of independence and creativity to lead on projects to develop the company’s business development processes through initiative and detailed market analysis.

A grounding in project or performance management may all be suitable qualifications for a role demanding a high level of intellectual discipline, curiosity and appetite for responsibility.

Day to day tasks will include:

  • Daily tender search for tender opportunities
  • Daily search of supplier approval systems
  • Responding to and completing tender applications and questionnaires
  • Maintaining the tender library of documents
  • Online market research
  • Attend Meet-the-Buyer events.

  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Proven communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Flexible and robust approach to work
  • Ability to work accurately with attention to detail
  • Self motivated and positive approach
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Strong team-working skills
  • Knowledge and/or understanding of process compliance


  • Commercial awareness
  • Energy generation awareness (this can be the political landscape as much as a practical overview of the UK status quo)
  • Driver’s licence
  • HSE qualifications
  • A grounding in project or performance management may be beneficial.


  • Degree-level qualification in Business/Management/English/Social Sciences or related. (1st or 2nd Class preferred)
