Covpress are seeking manufacturing and mechanical engineers to start an exciting engineering career.  Our employees share a common goal to ensure we are "best in class" in terms of quality, delivery and price competiveness and be the first choice for our customers.  We are looking for graduates with a passion for engineering and the drive to progress through the company.

This position will include the following responsibilities:

·         Working alongside existing engineers within the assembly and production side of the business to support functions

·         Design reviews

·         Maintaining the Automotive Standard for report documentation

·         Supporting manufacturing process, production issues and process improvements

·         Participate in both internal and customer meetings.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

·         Good planning and organisational skills

·         PC literate covering Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project

·         Familiarity with CAD systems and their use a distinct advantage

·         Enthusiasm, drive and great communication skills are essential

·         A degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing  automotive engineering or materials with a minimum 2:2 grade

·         Confident and proactive approach to work.

·         Problem solving skills

·         Precise and accurate approach to documentation

·         Ability to work in a team

·         Show a passion for engineering and Covpress

·         A Full UK driving license.

The following skills would be advantageous:

·         Fluency in French or Chinese

·         Familiarity with CAD packages

·         Knowledge of automotive standards

·         A placement/ previous work experience in automotive engineering.
