What is exciting about this role?

We require an Analyst to assist in producing meaningful analysis, information, modelling and forecasting using multiple data sources that the organisation collects. This information is then used to produce industry reports which allows employers and the government to understand key trends within the industry and where skills gaps may lie in future. This role will allow the successful applicant to use their analytical and numerical skills to have a real impact on an important industry.

As an organisation, we work across many industries from oil and gas, to water and building construction.

Where do you come in?

You will be responsible for researching, analysing and reviewing date from a number of external sources in order to produce quarterly reports for the industry. Duties will include:

  •  Reviewing, prioritising and analysing the data and information that you gather and using it to produce quantitative and qualitative in-depth regional and sector profiles.
  • Researching and collating information, either by online, telephone or face-to-face meetings with key stakeholders in the industry. This could be on engineering construction projects, sectors and occupational profiling.
  • Drawing upon your modelling expertise to develop numerical simulation and forecasting tools using analytical problem solving, and articulating the recommendations from these to portray complex ideas simply and concisely.
  • Present your findings clearly and concisely to senior staff members, using your excellent communication skills

What you need to demonstrate?

Candidates applying for this position must have a degree and ideally achieved a 2.1 or above in Mathematics of a similar numerical subject.  You must also have a detailed understanding of VBA and MS Excel. Verbal and written communication skills are an extremely important part of this role and you will need to demonstrate this as part of your application.
