Job summary

Frontline Safety UK Ltd has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Administrator to manage the day to day bookkeeping for the company and prepare quarterly management accounts for the Directors. You will be assisted in your role by the Operations Director and also the external Company Accountant. This is a 12 month placement based in Glasgow with a strong possibility of converting to a permanent post.

Due to expansion we need to strengthen our accounts team with the addition of an Accounts Administrator.

The graduate will work to prepare various company accounts

Role Description

The role will be completing the day to day bookkeeping for the organisation, you will be responsible for the following;

·         Accounts To Trial Balance

·         Producing Management Accounts

·         Purchase Ledger

·         Sales Ledger

·         Credit Control

·         VAT Returns

You will be required to carry out some reception and administrative duties such as answering the door to customers and filing and post distribution. These duties won't interfere with the day to day work which is 100% finance orientated.

Skills / Experience

Essential

Knowledge/ Experience with financial software, e.g. Sage Payroll and SageLine 50 (but training will also be provided)

Apart from a natural flair with numbers, other skills that will help you become a good accounts clerk include:

·         An ability to work quickly and accurately

·         Good concentration

·         An eye for detail

·         An ability to work to deadlines

·         Good computer skills (especially in Excel and with databases and financial software – training will be provided on the latter two)

·         To be honest, discreet and trustworthy

·         Strong interest in finance and accounting

Ideal

·         Sage 200

·         Knowledge and/or experience of Bookkeeping

·         Ideally, some experience within a SME environment

Qualifications

Essential

·         Minimum of Bachelors Degree

The Graduate will be working within all aspects of accounting and will therefore gain invaluable experience across each discipline. The graduate will be given training on our Sage Payroll and Sage 200 accounts systems.
