Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Europe manages the group’s regional Duty Free, Airlines, Cruise Ships and related businesses across Europe.

We are looking for a Graduate Accountant who will join our London team and work as an Accounts Receivable Accountant supporting our Senior Finance Manager.

The purpose of this role is to carry out all aspects of the accounts receivable function, from cash allocation to reporting to management.

Your duties will include:

  • Cash allocation – the daily matching of all cash receipts to the Accounts Receivable ledger accounts.
  • Raising of sundry invoices & credit notes.
  • Customer queries – handling questions from customers, develop a relationship with accounts payable staff and liaise with our operations department to resolve queries as soon as possible.
  • Credit limit reviews and checks.
  • Preparing reports for presentation to key stakeholders.
  • Preparing returns for VAT, Intrastat and ECSL and ensuring all declarations are submitted.
  • Monitoring debtor balances and notifying stakeholders of any overdue accounts.
  • Preparing monthly bank reconciliations.

What do we require?

Applicants must:

  • Have studied towards an Accountancy or Financial subject.
  • Have a drive to achieve; demonstrated by strong academics and personal achievements (a minimum of a 2.1 grade and 300 UCAS points over three subjects).
  • Have strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Have strong numerical and problem solving skills.
  • Be positive and team focused.
  • Be organised and professional.
