Global eCommerce Analyst / Web Analyst

Our client is a global, business-to-business, high service distributor of electric components and industrial products to the design, maintenance and engineering sectors and was recently voted ‘Company of the Year’ in the European Elektra 2006 Awards. One of the driving factors behind the success is the company’s ability to deliver over 430,000 electronic components worldwide.
Our client is currently looking to recruit a Global eCommerce Analyst to join their team based in Leeds. The main purpose of this varied role is to act as a senior technologist with a fundamental understanding of the business processes, service roles, automation opportunities and technology optimisation approaches necessary in providing technology through leadership for a broad community of users. Within this role, your main responsibilities will include producing standard reporting packs and distributing where necessary and assisting other departments in analysing website information and customer problems / queries. You will be given the opportunity to learn leading web analytics packages such as Omniture and Tealeaf. A key element of this role will be its exposure to senior stakeholders globally, assisting them to make critical business decisions.
The successful candidate will ideally have worked in a similar role previously and will have experience of eCommerce, preferably from within the electronics sector. Ideally you will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will have excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to interpret emerging technical trends and capabilities and communicate them clearly. You should have experience of web analytics and customer life cycle modelling and you should be creative with the ability to work alone.
