Diageo have an exciting role for a Finance Graduate to focus on the regulatory nature of finance analysis, collation and auditing of market information in order to help define a robust process for ensuring information is valid, current and available.

Job Description

With over 180 markets served, there will be a wide breadth of knowledge to be gained regarding market regulations, tax agreements and other unique insights. This 12 month placement, based in Menstrie in Clackmannanshire, will give the graduate valuable finance experience in a real business environment to support their development as a finance professional.

Project Description

We have a regulatory database that contains information from >180 markets with regard to the mandatory packaging requirements and definitions for alcoholic beverages.

Technical Centre Europe Regulatory team covers Wines, Spirits, ready to drink alcoholic beverages, cream liqueurs and ready to serve cocktails. There is a small team of 4 people who give compliance approval and issue support to the global markets which we ship to from Europe Supply.

One of the key aims of this role is to work with the Regulatory Compliance Lead Manager to expedite, track and monitor progress of this project, helping to define a robust process for ensuring information is valid, current and available.

This will involve working with TCE Regulatory Team, Americas, and Asia Regulatory and also with our Corporate Relations and Legal team globally.

Role Description

This specific project will provide a real value add opportunity to Diageo. This role is focused more on the regulatory nature of finance, and will supply an intern with excellent experience in the analysis, collation and auditing of market information. With over 180 markets served, there will be a wide breadth of knowledge to be gained regarding market regulations, tax agreements and other unique insights.

Main responsibilities will include:

•        Provision of information and updates of progress to the Lead Manager

•        Ability to monitor progress of project and meet deadlines

•        Ability to engage knowledgeable input from worldwide locations

•        Drive improvements in the process, where they are seen to be needed

•        Interfaces with management, key stakeholders and Diageo employees across different geographic regions, cultures and time zones.

In addition you will have the opportunity to get exposure to other areas within the function.

The purpose of this role is to provide a Finance graduate with rich and valuable finance experience in a real business environment to support their development as a finance professional.
