A rapidly expanding executive search firm, specializing in derivative products, seeks a researcher to work and train for a London based position.
Fairholme International Ltd. (FiL) is a niche headhunting firm working within the financial services industry, focusing on investment banking. The firm’s clientele is made up of various equity derivatives departments within major investment banks. With offices in London and New York, the current team focuses on the European and American equity derivatives industries.
Due to the increase in business, FiL is looking to expand and hire 1 researcher to be based in London. The job offers training and immediate market exposure, where the researcher will meet and deal with both clients and candidates from the Vice President to Managing Director level.
The fundamental responsibilities of the researcher will be:
(1) To identify, source and screen potential candidates through various primary and secondary researching techniques.
(2) To update information on financial markets and specifically distribute to the team any news that may affect the derivatives area.
(3) To maintain and update the company’s database of clients and candidates.
(4) To arrange, confirm and be the main point of contact for candidate meetings.
Applicants must be enthusiastic self-starters who are confident communicating and working with people of varying seniority within investment banks. Lateral thinking and communication skills are essential for the successful undertaking of these positions.
Knowledge of financial markets, particularly equity derivatives, would be advantageous.
Ideal candidates will either be a recent graduate with the necessary drive and energy or have up to 2 years of work experience. Candidates should have at least an undergraduate degree, preferable from an economic or financial specialization. They will be team players with initiative and ambition in conjunction with the professional and organizational skills required to successfully execute business.
