Keep our eyes and ears open…
‘I joined the RAF because I wanted a challenge. Thirteen years on, I’m still learning something new every day. I can’t think of any other job where I’d have this much variety – or this much responsibility.’
The RAF is seeking intelligent, ambitious graduates to join our worldwide team.
Our Engineer Officers work with state-of-the-art technology every day. As a specialist in communications and electronics (CE) you’ll be responsible for maintaining, and sometimes operating, all our communications links. You’ll also play an essential role in networking our systems to make sure up-to-the-minute information is always available to the key decision makers.
You’ll need to be determined, reliable and ready for a challenge. In return, you’ll receive excellent leadership and management training, enabling you to lead large teams of technical specialists. You could find yourself supervising the maintenance of ground radar systems, or looking after the complex ground-based communications networks of the UK’s air defence system.
The RAF offers more than just a job; it offers an active, exciting lifestyle. Our primary mission is to defend our country, but we’re also called upon for countless other tasks, from Search and Rescue missions across the UK to supporting disaster relief operations all over the world.
You’ll have the chance to take part in adventurous training such as rock climbing, skiing and mountain biking. You’ll meet new people from all over the world and you’ll make friends you’ll keep for life.
You’ll be joining a high-tech, modern organisation with excellent opportunities for accelerated promotion, training and worldwide travel. We also offer six weeks’ paid holiday a year, subsidised food and accommodation, free medical and dental care, and free gym and sports facilities access. Starting pay for Engineer Officers is at least £28,000 after training
