Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team based in Worcester. The main purpose of this role is to provide complete system designs within the cost and time scale constraints of any project. Your main responsibilities will include interpreting customer specifications to produce detailed designs in line with company procedures, produce all relevant documentation and procure non standard electrical components. You will also be responsible for designing solutions that can be manufactured and that meet or exceed customer expectations, provide technical support and information for customers and to provide guidance to graduates or staff being trained.
The successful candidate will hold a HNC / HND or equivalent in electrical engineering and will have previous experience in a similar role. You will be an excellent team player, have the ability to work with minimal supervision and will possess good time management and product management skills. Ideally you will have previous experience of CAD tools, Engine, Transmission, ABS installations and some experience of radio and communications equipment. You will have a working knowledge of MS project management, CAN and multiplex systems.
