Eclipse Blind Systems, a world leader in window blind coverings based in Inchinnan, has an opportunity for a graduate to work alongside the IT Manager of Eclipse for 12 months to facilitate the implementation of some exciting projects. The role will require the candidate to work with people throughout the whole organisation with varying degrees of IT experience in order to improve operational efficiency.

Eclipse Blinds are a £20 million turnover division of Hunter Douglas. Eclipse operates from a 150,000 square foot facility just outside Glasgow. Hunter Douglas is the world leader in window blind coverings and a major manufacturer of architectural products. Worldwide, Hunter Douglas has 17,000 employees operating 160 companies in 100 countries with a turnover of $2.4 billion.

Role Description

Below are the projects the candidate will be involved in over the 12 months. These are aimed at improving operational efficiency and taking Eclipse beyond others in the Industry when it comes to the latest mobile technology

• Migration from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Outlook
• Review of our mobile infrastructure
• Business continuity plan
• Implementation of a CRM

Skills / Experience

Essential

• Full understanding of software lifecycle model
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Analytical approach

Ideal

• A firm grasp of Microsoft technologies (specifically Exchange & Active Directory)
• Working knowledge of Databases or SQL query
• Understanding of CRM

Qualifications

• Essential 
  
  Qualified to Degree level in IT or Computer Science
