Job summary

Highland Fayre has an opportunity for a graduate as a Digital Media Executive. The graduate will assist the Business Development Manager in implementing a new digital marketing strategy as well as supporting all digital activity including the overall marketing strategy and business goals. This 9 month placement is based in Perth.

Job Description

Digital Media has become very important within ecommerce and we are looking for a vibrant person who enjoys a challenge.  Over the last year we have slipped within google for key search terms so we urgently need to reverse this trend using a broad range of SEO and Digital Media tools.

The Digital Media Executive will assist the Business Development Manager in implementing a new strategy to drive our business forward in a very competitive market. They will take a lead onthe development of social media and digital marketing for the business.

By the end of the 9 months, we are hoping to have been able to bring digital media back in house, driven more traffic to the website and improved our search engine results.

Key tasks will include:

•        Support the implementation of the overall digital media strategy

•        Carry out competitior analysis

•        Liaise closely with outsourced SEO and social media partners/consultants

•        Assist with the management of our two company websites, e.g. updating on regular basis with fresh content, adhering to specified style guidelines

•        Implement social media campaigns on various channels, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn.

•        Help set up and manage Highland Fayre's new interactive company Blog (to be launched by May 2013)

•        Increase traffic through affiliates (using Affiliate Future)

•        Help manage the independent customer review platform (Feefo)

•        Maximise activity and business generated via VE Interactive

•        Assist with email marketing campaigns (using Campaign Monitor)

•        Assist with the management of our Amazon.co.uk Merchant Account

•        Assist with the production of marketing materials (i.e. our corporate brochure)

•        Support the Sales Team in various aspects relating to Account Management

•        Monitor and report the activity/benefits generated through social media channels.

Skills / Experience

Essential

•        Real passion for all things digital

•        Understand how digital marketing can improve brand awareness

•        Good knowledge of all social media channels

•        Knowledge of SEO and social media analytics

•        The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

•        Good time management and interpersonal skills

Ideal

•        Experience in writing copy for websites

•        Knowledge of HTML, CMS and email platforms is desirable.

Qualifications

•        BA/BSc (or equivalent) in Digital Marketing / Digital Media or other relevant discipline.
