Development Technologist – Graduate Opportunity (Food Science, Food Technology)

Sharston – Manchester

Over the last 24 years, our client has built an enviable reputation as market leader in supplying the finest international dishes to Pubs, Restaurants, Hotels, Travel and Leisure, Business and Industry, Healthcare and Education across the UK and Europe.

 

They are currently looking to recruit a Development Technologist to support successful NPD projects from kitchen to factory and effectively communicate information about launches throughout the business.

 

You will prepare and amend documents for new product launches; scheduling pre and post trial factory meetings and physical trials.  You must be present at all factory trials to document relevant data and set up all new product recipes on their in house systems, ensuring that these are kept up to date any recipe / product changes.  You will aid in the coordination of product analysis and will be responsible for the sign off of retail packaging while communicating detailed project updates on recipe changes to the wider team.  Key within this role is ensuring that NPD projects fulfill requirements of BRC standard and that all paperwork is completed and filed correctly.

 

To be successful in this role you must be educated to degree level or equivalent in a Food Technology or Food Science related subject, ideally with 12 months industry experience.  Computer literate, you must have completed Legal Labels and formal HACCP training and some experience of computerised specification/recipe systems.  You should possess effective project management and presentation skills and be self motivated with the ability to manage your time while working to deadlines.
