Their EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) Marine department currently has an opportunity for a Development Technologist to join their team.
The Development Technologist role will involve highly varied technical support work including factory production and product reformulation and design. Liasing with suppliers you will carry out raw material evaluation and provide technical support for associated businesses. This role would be suitable for a self-motivated graduate chemist with sound practical abilities.
This role requires a “hands-on” approach; with good communication skills as the position will involve regular interaction with other departments within the business in the UK and overseas. The ability to work to deadlines and handle multiple tasks is also vital in the dynamic environment of EMEA Marine. This role will give the successful candidate a wide range of experience of a very diverse product range, different application methods and substrates.
Candidates must be qualified to degree level or equivalent in Chemistry and experience within coatings R&D is preferable. Ideally, this experience would have been gained within a research or development role. Knowledge of paint formulation, testing, manufacture and application would also be an advantage.
