Job summary

Jupiter Play & Leisure Ltd has a great opportunity for a graduate to revolutionise the design of our marketing. The successful candidate will undertake design and marketing to help grow our sales through well researched marketing collateral, both offline and online, presented in a unique way. The company create inspiring play areas for the whole community, so, we are looking for a creative individual, interested in design but driven by results. This is a 12 month placement, with view to permanent hire, based in Edinburgh.

Job Description

Jupiter Play is an independent award-winning, Scottish company which designs, supplies and constructs children's play and sports areas from toddler to teen. Currently, we have a real opportunity to move into new and exciting sectors, which will require the graduate to research opportunities and present our products to these markets using more creative and intelligent design.

The graduate will be working with the Marketing Manager and a number of other colleagues – since we work in play, this is a vibrant, fun environment. We are looking for an individual who can bring dynamic and creative ideas to the table and will not be afraid to explore different avenues for design of play, equipment, catalogues, branding, and presentations to ensure we have a bright, fun message!

The main objective of this placement will be to support the promotion of the Inclusive Play products in the Special Educational Needs market and the Jupiter Sports Range of Products, in order to see sales increase in these areas, however the role has scope to work within all areas of the business, across the UK.

Core tasks and responsibilities will include:

·         Take a project from start to finish, which would include 3D graphics (nice to have), photography, graphic design and sourcing printers

·         Undertaking market research into the play & sports market to understand the sector, e.g. competitors, styling, photography, terminology, etc

·         Pulling together a brochure for the FHS range – to tie in with corporate image on website

·         Developing online marketing particularly through social media but also web.

Skills / Experience

Essential:

·         Skills in graphic design (some experience in InDesign preferred)

·         Knowledge and/or experience of website maintenance using content management systems (basic html preferable)

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal

·         Creative

·         Flexible and adaptable

·         Strong team working skills

·         Ability to work under own initiative and manage time to meet deadlines

·         Excellent attention to detail and high quality standards for completion of work.

Desirable:

·         Skills Adobe Suite

·         Skills in 3D Studio

·         Social media skills

·         Market research knowledge

·         Conversant in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·         Good copy writing skills.

Qualifications

·         A graduate with a minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or similar.
