Our client is a technology innovation centre working in the Sustainable Processing and Printable Electronics industries. The centre uses market knowledge and technology understanding to develop and prototype products and processes quickly and efficiently with minimal risk to its public and private sector partners.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Communications Executive to join their Innovation and Growth Services team.
With a passion for science communications you will drive dissemination activities on cutting-edge multi-partner industrial research and innovation projects. Using your science and engineering knowledge you will develop content which makes complex scientific and technological concepts accessible to non-scientific audiences. You will support and take part in conferences and manage in-house and third party PR communications.
Their ideal candidate must hold a 2.1(Hons) degree or equivalent in a science or engineering discipline and possess an excellent command of the English language. Experience of working in a business, commercial services or industrial based environment is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in communicating scientific concepts to industry, government and the public, specifically in support of the commercialisation of new and emerging technologies.
With course fees covered by our client, the successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to undertake a part-time MA in Media and Journalism, at Newcastle University.
