Overall purpose of the role:

To manage the process for raising income from suppliers, monitoring it vs. targets and Reconciling it with Finance. To control, chase and process all invoice discrepancies and queries as advised by the Buyer

Key Accountabilities:

  • To control the billing process, for all supplier contributions, both pot and promotional monies, through accurate and timely CMS billing procedures.
  • To reconcile all invoices, chasing and back ending any discrepancies.
  • To manage the reversal process to ensure full visibility and logs are maintained
  • In conjunction with the Buyers, to manage the preparation for Red book reviews, ensuring all billing, debt & reversals have been resolved.
  • To manage the relationship with Comet Finance, acting as first point of contact for the team.
  • To support the Buyers in any finance related ad-hoc project work as and when required.
  • To communicate cost price amendments from suppliers to Commercial Finance via CMS, and monitoring that they are accurately reflected.

Skills/Attributes required for the role:

  • Should have at least 1 year’s experience gained within a fast business environment, ideally from a commercial background.
  • Must really enjoy a role that is admin, process, efficiency driven
  • Must be PC literate with the ability to produce accurate spreadsheets.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must be numerate and be able to demonstrate an analytical approach.
  • Must be a good organiser, able to plan, think ahead and work to deadlines.
  • Must have a good eye for detail producing accurate information at all times.
  • Must be able to work on your own, equally must be a team player.
  • Must project a level-headed attitude in order to gain credibility with suppliers and internal departments

What decisions does the role holder make?

  • Day to day decisions that does not require sign off from line Manager
