Centrica Information Systems (IS) is a 1,500 strong team, responsible
for building, running and maintaining the vital systems that are our
lifeblood. IS is always exploring and implementing new technology that
will deliver better customer service, make employees more productive
and increase Centrica's profitability.
- Over 50m transactions supported daily

Our IS programme offers you the opportunity to work in a range of
positions across our diverse portfolio of businesses. You will have the
flexibility to guide your career, and the chance to experience roles
that are as business focused or technical as you wish. From our trading
floor, to our power stations, to our windfarms and our call centres.
within such a large function you will be able to experience a multitude
of different disciplines, whether through assisting in the development
of our IS strategy, improving our processes, helping to restructure
divisions or managing projects. You will make a tangible difference.
the more technically minded of our applicants, Centrica will allow you
to gain experience of Europe's largest SAP and Siebel implementation,
website development, support of bespoke trading systems, and many
industry standard applications. We are considered an industry leader in
mobile solutions for our thousands of service engineers and employees.
you join the programme you will begin with one week of Centrica
graduate training and three weeks of IS-specific induction. Your first
year will then combine extensive technical and management training with
six-month placements in our service delivery and business teams.
second year role is assigned according to three criteria: your
aspirations, our business needs and your performance. This second year
could take you into any part of our organisation, giving you the
opportunity to work on projects or key technologies.
