Job summary

CelluComp is looking for an enthusiastic science graduate to assist in the development of a new material developed from the extraction of Nano cellulose fibres of root vegetables.This is a nine month placement with a possibility of converting to a permanent job.

Job Description

CelluComp reqires a graduate who is capable of working in the laboratory to join a small and friendly team.

Duties will include:

-          Aiding customer relations by creating samples.

-          Conducting experiments to help make necessary modifications to the product.

-          Help with the design and verification of quality control measures

-          Researching applicable biocides for the CelluComp material.

-          Making up paint formulations and testing the results of paint quality with the addition of CelluComp material

-          Testing and replication of experiments carried out by CelluComp customers in order to understand and interprete results.

Skills / Experience

Good customer service skills and telephone manner will be needed as occasionally, there may be a need to speak with customers.

It is imperative that the successful candidate is able to write reports based on the experiments they have carried out and be able to present the results in an appropriate manner.

Microsoft Office skills in using Word, Excel and Outlook are necessary

A good knowledge in using microscopes and viscometers would be advantageous, but training will be provided

Work experience is not required as full training and guidance will be provided

Qualifications

Prospective candidates must hold an appropriate degree in Sciences, preferably in material science, biochemistry, Chemistry or any polymer science related degree
