Buyer & Administrator/Trainee Buyer/Supply Chain Assistant/Assistant Buyer/Purchasing/Procurement

Tyldesley, Manchester

Our client is a group formed of several divisions. This division is a leading specialist in the stockholding, processing and supply of metal to the aerospace, defence and other high technology industries worldwide. The company offers its customers exceptional Supply Chain Management services, providing integrated supply solutions and closer to form value added products.

Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer and Administrator to join their site in Tyldesley, Manchester. The main purpose of this role is to work closely with the Group Purchasing Manager and support the senior buyer to ensure that the company’s communications with suppliers are maintained. Within this role, you will be responsible for your portfolio of products and you will be expected to price on spot business packages and provide timely feedback to internal and external sales teams.

The successful candidate will have an extensive working knowledge of an administrative position and is looking to progress into procurement. You will ideally possess some market knowledge and procurement experience and you will be working towards a CIPS qualification or will be prepared to study for this.
