Business Development Officer / KTP Associate

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships is a Government Scheme which forms a collaboration between a Knowledge Base (in this case Canterbury Christ Church University) and typically, but not exclusively, a company which requires academic input to enable it to reach a strategic goal, leading to tangible benefits, such as new products or methods which in turn provide increases in profit.
For the purposes of this partnership Canterbury Christ Church University have partnered with Kent Children’s Fund Network to facilitate the Charity’s transition to a social enterprise and secure growth in core markets, including the development of a training centre for the children’s workforce.
With a good degree in a business related discipline, you will be a recent graduate and may have previous knowledge of the third sector, services for young people or the social enterprise model. You will need to possess the ability to communicate with people across a wide range of audiences and a good understanding of marketing and business planning.
In return, one of the key benefits for the successful applicant is that 10% of the working time will be devoted to training to enhance career prospects, including the necessary leadership and project management skills to be able to successfully achieve an agreed project.
