Specifically, this role will involve:

Project management

  • Process mapping and analysis
  • Holding focus groups and analysis of findings
  • Skills and training needs analysis
  • Writing up of work for reports and articles
  • Support in the evaluation of strategic information systems

This position will suit a graduate with a business related subject, with an operations management/ logistics systems specialism preferred, ideally at 2.1 or above.

 You will need to be a self-starter, ideally with some experience in logistics/ distribution and process mapping.Experience of business process review or culture change in organisations would be an advantage, if not it is essential that you have industry experience in an office based/planning environment. You will however need to have experience of working in a customer facing role, and ideally a track record of building successful internal and external partnerships by evaluating customer experiences and needs. Furthermore, experience in the recruitment or rail sectors would be advantageous.

We are looking for a candidate with the ability to respond positively to a variety of situations and people in order to meet changing priorities in the role, the underlying drive to ensure that quality is not comprised within the working environment, and the ability to work co-operatively and supportively with colleagues.

This is initially a 6 month contract with the potential, for the right candidate, for this to be extended. This role will be based at our office in Birmingham with support from academics from Aston Business School. We’re offering the right candidate the opportunity to develop their knowledge and experience, as well as playing a pivotal role in contributing to our continuing success.
