Job summary

Barr + Wray Ltd have an opportunity for a graduate within the Pools & Spas Division, looking at the design, installation and commissioning of Water Filtration & Treatment Systems. This is an excellent opportunity to work within the building & construction industries, liaising with clients, contractors, architects, interior designers & building services consultants, whilst developing knowledge of the treatment systems being designed. This is a 12 month placement, with view to permanent hire, based in Glasgow.

Project Description

·         The role should enable the graduate to develop their understanding of Water Filtration & Treatment Systems

·         Graduate will develop a full understanding on design & installation

·         Outcome – if successful a full time position would be available, with further development within the division

Role Description

The position is within the Pools & Spas Division which is responsible for the design, install and commissioning of Water Filtration & Treatment Systems, which are sold to client worldwide.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following duties:

·         Production of Autocad / Solidworks drawings

·         Learning how to design systems

·         Working with other engineers to prepare documents

·         Place orders for pipework, plant & equipment

Skills / Experience

Essential

·         Strong IT skills in Word, Excel

·         Good knowledge and experience of using CAD, Solidworks

·         Ability to work unsupervised where required

·         Reliable

·         Self motivated

Ideal

·         Has Driving License

Qualifications

Essential

·         This role is suited to a graduate who has a degree in either a mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering subject

Ideal

·         Engineer with a knowledge of water treatment
