Assistant to HR Consultants – Graduate Internship

Job Purpose: To provide practical and effective assistance to HR Consultants. To gain a better understanding of HR in practice. To gain a better understanding of HR Consultancy as a career choice.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviewing and preparing employment documentation – ensuring (with supervision) that it is in line with current employment legislation.
Supporting the completion of HR projects in areas such as performance management, pay and benefits design and training and development.
Researching and preparing answers to particular HR and employment law queries from clients.
Researching and preparing Monthly Newsletter articles on HR related topics via internet.
Involvement in recruitment process management activities – processing CVs, arranging interviews etc
Input to sales and marketing activities, for example development of proposals, development of marketing related material, and updating relevant databases.
General office duties: Scanning, photocopying and binding documents, general filing, meeting and greeting clients – showing to meeting rooms and preparing refreshments, sorting and franking mail, etc.
Other duties necessary for the fulfilment of the job purpose.
35 hours per week, duration 11 weeks. Week 12 comprises professional training of a 2 day induction and a 3 day final training event
