Now part of Proctor and Gamble, Wella manufacture and distribute a variety of prestige and professional care products. Their hair care range includes the well known brands Clairol, Vidal Sassoon and Shockwaves , they are also one of the biggest providers of fine fragrance in the UK, with names such as Gucci and Paco Rabanne.

Wella are currently looking for an Assistant Product Manager to join their dedicated marketing team. Working closely with the Product Manager this role requires responsibility for a care brand and a style brand, including all below the line marketing for the products. As a major supplier to the industry it has to be ensured that all Wella’s brand objectives are in line with the overall marketing strategy.

Examples of the daily activities that you will be responsible for are; sales promotions, (for example: a gift with purchase campaign), point of sale marketing, creating effective brand awareness articles and working with internal and external agencies to raise Wella’s profile in the trade press.

You will be expected to work within a budget to ensure effective use of funds, requiring a strong knowledge of IT applications such as Excel. On a monthly basis you will also be required to present your findings to the sales division.

What we are looking for:

· At least 18 months marketing experience, this can include an industrial placement whilst at university.

· You must be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for the health and beauty industry.

· A flexible approach to your work and a burning desire to be successful and make an impact.

· The role also requires the individual to be creative and have the ability to communicate at all levels, both within the organisation and with customers.
