Assistant Manager of a Pub, Bar or Restaurant

Salary: £16k+ depending on experience + benefits

Location: Nationwide

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is the leading operator of managed pubs, bars, venues and pub restaurants in the UK. Our portfolio of over 2000 business provides an ideal place to learn about every aspect of the licensed retail industry.

We own and operate a wide range of branded and unbranded businesses from highly recognisable brands such as Harvester, Toby Carvery, Flares & Reflex to some of the most iconic classic pubs in the country, steeped in history, each with a story to tell. We're looking for passionate graduates to join us in a variety of roles all over the country. We recruit all year round to find the 60+ graduates that will join us in an Assistant Manager role.

By applying for the Progress Graduate Scheme you'll be considered for the entire spectrum of our businesses, from relaxed country dining, metropolitan professional pubs, full service restaurants, high energy, residential and even our hotel and bowling businesses. We're certain that if you've got the personality, we've got a business to suit you.

Successful candidates will have:

·         A 2:2 degree or higher – ideally in a relevant subject but that is not essential

·         A minimum of 12 months supervisory experience gained either whilst studying or after graduation

·         The drive and determination to want to progress with the target role being Area Manager

It doesn't matter if you're about to graduate or if you earned your degree in years gone by... we're interested in talking to you and we'll tailor your training programme to reflect your development needs.

Most graduates spend the first 18-24 months as an Assistant Manager learning the 'nuts and bolts' of managing a business before progressing to their first position as a Pub or Restaurant Manager. If you already have experience in hospitality or leisure we'll consider you for a Management role and salary package that is appropriate to your experience.

You can take advantage of a wide variety of benefits including:

·         Contributory Company Pension Scheme

·         Free Company Shares & Share Save Scheme

·         Big Brand Retailer Discount Scheme

·         Private Healthcare Scheme

·         Rewarding Bonus Scheme when you reach General Manager
