About the Role

The finance department is responsible for the organisation of the Company’s financial and accounting affairs including the preparation and presentation of business accounts and the provision of financial information for managers. To provide tools and insights to protect and leverage PRUK assets the finance department:

Business Insight – Give timely and relevant insight, provide opportunity and risk identification, offer return on investment optimisation and commercial negotiation support.

Profit and Cash Management - Set and monitor delivery of stretch targets and manage financial flow to meet Pernod Ricard Group expectations.

Robust and User Friendly Control Environment – Provide a professional framework for customer and supplier commitments, along with asset protection and financial accounts integrity and tax/regulatory compliance.

Legal Advice – Provide risk management and ensure embedding of commercial and marketing contractual advantage.

Key Purpose

  • Ensure accounting records are accurate and up to date
  • Manage Group reporting
  • Manage overheads reporting
  • Manage Master data

Key Responsibilities

  • Post monthly prepayments/accruals and other journals
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Perform key monthly reconciliations between the general ledger and the commercial reporting system (SAM)
  • Review JDE integrity reports on a daily basis
  • Prepare monthly trial balance
  • Prepare detail monthly update of overheads costs for key departments
  • Manage reconciliation recharge between PR UK and TRE
  • Manage overheads, interest and other p&l reporting below operating profit
  • Manage submission of monthly financial reporting and quarterly cashflow budgeting/forecasting to Group
  • Provide national statistics
  • Interco Reporting (4 times a year)
  • Fixed Asset Management
  • Support production of annual statutory accounts/Corporation tax/PSA/P11d/VAT
  • Empower users of the commercial reporting system (SAM) providing support & training to users and ensuring timely approval of invoices on this
  • Update Approval Matrix on SAM and review users are assigned correctly as per job title
  • Manage master data maintenance for customers/vendors/employees including opening accounts and verifying details with third parties
  • Monthly reconciliation of key suppliers/customer statements
  • Additional reasonable duties as required

What do we require?

You will:

  • Be Degree educated/AAT Qualified
  • Be a Part Qualified accountant or seeking to study for accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
  • Have previous experience within a Finance department
  • Have worked in a fast paced team environment
  • Have general ledger experience
  • Have reconciliation experience
  • Have good excel skills
  • Have used JDE
  • Have used Hyperion
