The Role

As an actuary you will use your mathematical skills to help measure the probability and risk of future events. You will use complex financial and statistical theories to calculate the financial risks and implications of events such as hurricanes or oil rig explosions and then present your complex findings in a simple, easy to understand way. You will need to have a love of maths and be a keen problem solver and strategic thinker. Communication is also key as you will be working with a variety of people from underwriters to the CEO.

Our Requirements

We are seeking a strong mix of intellect and personality. To be considered you must have:

  • 2.1 degree in a Maths or Maths-related subject (e.g. Physics or Engineering) 
  • 3 or more good ‘A’ levels, including Maths at A grade
  • Commitment to sit the Actuarial Exams (we prefer you not to have exemptions)
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Able to start in October 2013
