Our client is a $4b globally operating, innovative, specialty chemical company. It produces and supplies technologies to improve the quality and performance of customers' products in the global transportation, industrial and consumer markets. These technologies include lubricant additives for engine oils, other transportation-related fluids and industrial lubricants, as well as additives for fuel, refinery and oilfield applications.
You will be part of the UK based Account Management team, forging strong relationships throughout customersÆ organisations, providing solutions to support and enhance their businesses. Responsibilities will include developing annual business plans for each account to profitably grow the business, maximising the commercial technical interface in terms of value to the market and consequent pricing, providing market intelligence to and communicating with internal functions to support your customers business. You will manage your own agreed budget and at times, local product development projects. More senior applicants may well be given international account management responsibility.
A graduate or equivalent, you should have a minimum of five years commercial experience within a customer-facing role, ideally in sales with the aptitude to understand technicalities and specifications. You could be a junior individual looking for a career in sales or alternatively an individual with more substantive experience. Either can be accommodated. Essentially you must be a relationship builder with strong communication skills and importantly, be able to understand your customers business and the overall market, in order to identify how our clientÆs products can add value. Self-motivated, well organised with the drive and energy to deliver, your challenge will be to profitably grow business. Candidates must be able to travel extensively within the UK and potentially internationally.
