This means that these Institutions recognise that participation in the Programme counts towards full membership of these Professional bodies leading to Chartership. The Company offers business and engineering graduates financial support for professional training in pursuance of accreditation.
The Trans-national Graduate Programme gets off to a flying start with an exciting induction for all new graduates focused on teambuilding and developing an understanding of the SELEX Galileo business environment and the importance of our customer.
Graduates will return to demanding roles within the business, working on real projects with real responsibility. Some graduates will have the opportunity to undertake placements at different sites and in different parts of the Business and so gain significant exposure and experience over the 2 years.
All graduates are encouraged to have a career development plan that is monitored by you the graduate, your Line Manager, Human Resources and your Mentors - so there is ongoing support to champion your career progression at all times.
Training and Development
The Transnational Graduate Development Programme aims to facilitate new Graduate's induction into the SELEX Galileo business environment, providing a supportive transition between academic life and Industry. An accelerated programme specifically tailored for graduates. It places an emphasis on the importance of providing continuous training and opportunities for career development within a Transnational Company
The programme consists of three elements: Local Based Modules, International Module and the Graduate International Conference.
SELEX Galileo runs a Mentoring scheme to give you additional support and objective career advice from senior managers and leaders.
In addition to the schedule of training activities, there are ongoing opportunities for stretch assignments, projects and activities throughout the two years. These include working with pupils from local schools under the Education Liaison strategy and going to Universities across the UK to attend career fairs and employer presentations on behalf of the Company. These experiences all add to the first class, on-the-job training that makes the Trans-national Graduate Programme interesting, diverse and challenging.

Business roles require a 2:1 or above
A significant proportion of our business is currently engaged on contracts that are governed by UK and Foreign government security regulations. Due to the sensitive nature of this work there are restrictions imposed upon these contracts and visibility of any information related to them. UK nationals can usually work on these contracts. Other groups can have restrictions which may limit their career development or their ability to work on specific projects.
