A Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is a three-way project between a graduate, an organisation and a university/research organisation/further education institutions (known as the ‘knowledge base’).
Covering a huge range of projects, KTP is one of the largest graduate recruitment programmes across Europe.
Who are we?
Through a KTP project, a graduate will play a key role in managing and implementing strategic development in the company and transferring knowledge between the business and the knowledge base. KTP Associates own their project and are supported by experienced staff from the company and the knowledge base.
A KTP can graduates enhance their career prospects by providing them with an opportunity to manage a challenging project central to a company's strategic development and long term growth.
Training and Development
KTP Associates get to spend around 10% of their time in training and personal development, and at the start of the KTP they are given a training budget to manage - so they get to decide which courses you think would benefit you. Training modules cover personal development and project management, marketing and effective communication, finance and performance management, as well as job-specific technical training.
KTP Associates can obtain a Diploma in management. Many graduates go on to continue their studies further during the KTP. Last year 21% registered for post-graduate qualifications and in addition, 50 recruits holding higher degrees registered for further post-graduate work.
