Essentra Graduate Programme

Training and Development

Successful candidates will be enrolled onto our structured two year training programme which offers not only the responsibility, training and investment you require in order to progress through our business, but a real job allowing you to make a significant contribution to the business.

We have a simple belief – that good managers don't just emerge by chance, but though continual investment into their personal development. We therefore provide our chosen graduates with every opportunity in order for them to become a future manager within the business.

So why become a future manager?

We believe there are four convincing reasons:

1. Real roles

This means an actual job within the business starting from day one. A real role for graduates run in conjunction with the two-year Programme. We currently have roles available in our Engineering, Sales and Finance departments. The types of real role you will be placed into could be a Business Development Executive, Product Design Specialist, Management Accountant even Process Improvement Engineer – these positions make a real difference in our businesses.

2. Real Responsibility

"The best thing about my role is being given the freedom and supporting environment to decide and plan activities required for Continuous Improvement."
Neil Gregory, Continuous Improvement and Quality Manager

"I wanted to join a company where I would be given a real responsibility utilizing my degree, rather than joining a training program that built up employees to fill positions.
Tom Cerny, Sales Manager

3. Real Training

On top of the on the job training you will be following a structured curriculum covering modules in management, communication, finance,  sales, marketing, leadership skills, strategic planning, presentation skills, operations management and cross cultural awareness. You will receive your training in both the US and UK.

4. Real Progression

This is best illustrated by Mark Ibison, one of our new Vice Presidents of Finance in America. Since joining the business in the UK as a graduate from Brunel University, he has experienced a wide variety of positions, culminating with this international promotion.
