As well as first-class
training and joining a global network you’ll receive on-the-job coaching and support
from your manager and colleagues. With their encouragement, you’ll learn
quickly and rapidly take on new responsibilities while benefiting from a
culture that rewards performance but takes a realistic approach to work/life
balance.
Your graduate development
programme will begin with up to six weeks’
induction training, depending on
whether you join the Capital Markets & Derivatives, Financing Solutions
& Advisory or Functions programme.
Your training will be
delivered in small groups by leading external training professionals and will
include personal development and team-building activities as well as financial
and technical training. Depending on your role it may also include regulatory
exams.
Throughout your training you will
hear from key leaders from across our business, broadening your knowledge of our
activities and helping you
to understand how different parts
of our business interact.
Alongside our structured development
programme you will be performing a real role and receiving on-the-job coaching
and support from your colleagues and peers.
We are committed to early and
rapid career development and you will be given as much responsibility as we feel
you can handle and the opportunity to develop as fast as your ambitions allow.
Personal Development & Networking
Opportunities -
Your training doesn’t finish at
your induction. Throughout your programme you will attend personal development workshops
that will help you
to understand more about yourself,
your strengths and our way of working.
You will also attend social
and networking events with senior managers and colleagues from across our
business areas. These will help you build the personal connections that
underpin successful careers in finance.
Ongoing development -
As your career progresses you
will continue to learn from the expertise of our
sector-leading professionals by
attending seminars, such as the CIB Academy, innovation workshops and the Fixed
Income University.
These are designed to update your
technical knowledge, keep you up to date with market developments, and share
ideas and insights across all our businesses.
Development Centre -
We view learning as an ongoing
process and one that will continue well beyond
your graduate programme.
Our fully interactive Development
Centre at the end of your programme will
provide you with detailed feedback
on your strengths and areas of development via a personal development plan
which will support your
career moving forwards. It
will help you to place the right emphasis on key skills and behaviours as your
career with BNP Paribas progresses.
