Pensions Consulting – Actuarial (closed)
As a leader in actuarial consulting, we've been advising employers for over sixty years. Your tasks will range from the design and day-to-day management of pension schemes, through to corporate transactions, and ultimately to the final close-down of the plans, when risk is passed to a third party. As a key member of our dedicated team, you’ll be vital to delivering the high quality skills and service, which our global clients expect.
Investment Consulting Practice
In the Investment Practice you will build an in depth understanding of economics and financial markets through our structured development plan. As you develop we expect that you will begin to formulate your own views. The Investment Practice works across all investment markets (for example equities, bonds and property) and allows graduates to build up a range of experience and knowledge.

As one of the leaders in the UK market in the design, implementation and support of modern employee benefits programmes, we use our size and standing to deliver the best value for our clients. Our Employee Benefits Consulting Graduate Programme offers ambitious and creative graduates the opportunity to begin their career with Aon with early client contact and great responsibility.
We will be running summer internships in Pensions Consulting – Actuarial & Investment. Our summer placements typically last for eight weeks over the months of July and August. They are designed to give you a real feel for our corporate environment as well as some experience of the profession that interests you. You'll be given a number of activities and projects to work on over the 8-week period with support and on-the-job coaching from an allocated ‘buddy'.
Training and Development
Challenge, skills, experience, knowledge and relationship building are the cornerstones of our development programmes. Aon is a people business and at the same time a technical business. The learning and development support we provide is world-class and helps make our people the rounded professionals who succeed in making our business successful.
In the graduate programmes we combine on the job experience with a series of core technical and consulting workshops and will assist your study towards a relevant professional qualification e.g. Diploma of Insurance Practice (DIP), actuarial exams. We are also working with Imperial College to provide leading edge opportunities for achieving actuarial qualifications and thanks to the support we offer our graduates typically pass all actuarial exams in less than five years – 2 years ahead of the average.
The breadth of our organisation means that subject experts are available to help with specific exam topics and the advice and guidance of a management mentor will help to broaden your knowledge and experience.

We look for individuals with the desire and ability to excel in a competitive environment where building relationships is at the heart of what we do. We look for numerate people with analytical ability who can work collaboratively to answer some of the difficult questions above - and more importantly - are able to ask them.
