American Express is one of the world's most famous and respected brands. Formed in 1850, we have grown to become the world's largest charge card issuer. But our business isn't just about the 60 million charge and credit cards being used right now; our customers also enjoy exceptional financial, travel and network services.
Who are we?
Naturally, we're immensely proud to be the world's premier financial and travel solutions provider. But that doesn't mean we can rest on our laurels. Far from it. Competition is fierce, and staying ahead of the pack means we're constantly looking at new and exciting ways to provide customers with outstanding services. But solutions don't create themselves. They're born of the energy and creativity of extraordinary people.
We are currently recruiting Graduates to start with us in September 2005 and if you are interested in achieving early responsibility, international experience and personal growth and development in the following careers: Sales, Project Management, plus an exciting starting salary and hiring bonus.
Training and Development
So. You want to work for one of the world's leading financial organisations. American Express have joined with the University of Sussex to offer a work driven programme that combines part time paid work with part time study for a MSc, and invaluable opportunity to progress your career and further your education.
You'll join us on a fixed-term, part-time contract, working for 30 hours a week, and studying for up to 20 hours at our offices in the Innovation Centre on the University campus. Not only will we pay all your fees, but we'll also pay you an annual salary, a sign-on bonus and give you all the benefits you'd expect from a global blue-chip company. What's more, the highest performers at the end of the two-year programme will have the opportunity to take up a permanent position with American Express in our global Technologies organisation.
What we look for
To take advantage of the Technologies Masters programme, you'll need to have already - or be studying towards - a degree that contains a substantial IT content. Perhaps you're working already and want to get your MSc but found it too expensive; or you are an undergraduate who cannot decide whether to start your career, or get your MSc. Whatever the case, the Technologies Masters Programme could be perfect for you.
