Why did you apply to ABP?
ABP has a reputation for developing people within their business at numerous sites in many locations throughout the UK and Ireland. This means that relocation is an option combined with the attraction of learning all areas of their business.

What was your expectation of the role when you started?
Thought that management in a male dominated industry would be a difficult task but was prepared to face this challenge with an open mind.

How has your job role changed?
Moved on from graduate trainee to management in just over 18 months with significant training and support at group level. Resources available were significant and are still developing.

What are you doing now?
Technical Manager at ABP Perth producing upto 100 tonnes of retail packed products per week.

What are your key responsibilities?
Food safety, legality and quality, hygiene.  Resource management of operatives in safe, hygienic food production practices.

What are your professional plans for the next 12-18 months within ABP?
To develop my management skills within Perth to a level whereby further options within the group may become available (support or promotion).

What do you like most about your role at ABP?
Each day brings new challenges. Working in close partnership with our customers in Scotland.  Very supportive team.

What do you like most about ABP as an employer?
ABP allows each site to manage their own area of expertise.
